OPT #1 - Running The Roads...

At Tim Horton's in Riverview
I have been working as a Community Network Coordinator for about two months now, I have been to almost every corner of New Brunswick, I've travelled through snowstorms, against deadlines, to board meetings, to community gatherings, to Idea Festivals and finally to my new 2nd home - Scovil House.

It's been a very rewarding experience so far, 8 of the potential 12 Community Inclusion Networks have applied and been approved, the remaining 4 are close, I'd figure that by the end of March 2011, the entire province will be engaged in Changing the World.

Poverty Reduction has being open sourced, every last one of us can play a part, there is no more monopoly on doing great things for our province. I believe that we are on the right track, and that all the challenges that lie ahead are steps in the process of New Brunswick becoming the most engaged province in Canada.

We have started to get people to mind shift, and look out, rather than look in, find the ways that we are the same rather than those small reasons that differentiate ourselves from each other. We have so much to share, often so much that we don't see who else could benefit from our gifts, our assets and our skills.

I will try to update everyone along the way - Every Tuesday and Friday, I may even start up a Twitter account so you can TAKE PART in the effort in real time.

So here is your very own, personal CALL TO ACTION;Get out there and change your world or at very least make the effort to meet your neighbours - which could change your world - just sayin'

"Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world".- Harriet Tubman
